The Rainbow Club in Gardena, CA. was located next door to the Monterey Club and connected by a covered walkway with a tavern serving both clubs in the center. The Rainbow Club opened after the number of poker clubs in the city was increased from four to six in 1945 based on an increase in the size of the population of the city. The club closed in the 1980's after a number of newer and larger cardrooms opened in neighboring cities. This commemorative chip series uses the same chip colors and edge spot colors as the original chips. The chips are true "clay" chips, with the same materials and design as we use for all of our casino customers. The inlay is embedded into the chip and can not be removed without destroying the chip.
